Software Engineer, NLP team (Realyze Intelligence)

Purpose:
Under the direction of management and more senior members of the team, the NLP Software Engineer will contribute to the overall Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) by completing assigned projects and tasks by meeting established quality measures. The focus of this position will be to reach a competent level of the technology stack.
 

Responsibilities:

Maintain and enhance the Realyze Intelligence Platform
- Gather requirements from clinical content specialists related to NLP & NLU processing
- Solve problems in a logical, methodical, and time efficient manner
- Work in an agile development environment in short sprints
- Communicate technical details, ideas, and concepts to engineers and non-engineers

Qualifications

- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited university OR High School Diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in software development in lieu of the bachelor’s degree education requirement
- Minimum of one (1) year of development experience with object-oriented programming, such as Java, C#, or C++ in a private, public, government or military environment

- Development experience with production-grade Spring-based Applications
- Experience with unit testing and integration testing frameworks
- Experience in version control systems, such as SVN, Mercurial or Git
- Familiarity with microservices
- Familiarity with JSON technologies
- Familiarity with XML technologies (XPath, XSLT, DTD)
