Purpose:
The Business Development Associate will be responsible for the acquisition and proliferation of enriched product master data for Prodigo's customers. The role will work closely with manufacturers, distributors, third-party content providers and Company staff to evaluate, collect and manage product attribute information for products procured by our healthcare customers. The individual will primarily focus on content acquisition from industry sources of truth to help shape and deliver Prodigo's data services and data management solutions within healthcare. These include: item cleansing, enrichment and syndication of data within Prodigo's Marketplace and managed through the Virtual Item Master. The position requires well-developed prospecting, presentation and analytical skills with the ability to function in a detail oriented, fast paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and document procedures for use in training and sales support opportunities.
  • Track performance on defined metrics and communicate results to stakeholders and supervisors.
  • Champion organization wide knowledge sharing.
  • Assess, recommend, and implement improvements to our content acquisition and management workstream.
  • Conduct advanced market research and business development strategies to build the quantity and quality of Prodigo's content assets; leveraging searches, market intelligence and industry connections to build our industry leading content resources.
  • Develop a strong pipeline of content from Manufacturers in support of our Clinical and non-Clinical global catalog initiatives.
  • Develop strong relationships with Manufacturers and customers to ensure the Team has the resources available to deliver value for consumers of Prodigo's Data Services.

 

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related major is required.2 years business development or supply chain experience is preferred with demonstrated experience in relationship building, account management and/or sales pipeline development. Highly organized, detail oriented, capable of tracking multiple communication strings, and follows-up in a timely fashion in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated with an aptitude for attention to detail, deadlines, and metrics. Strong communication skills are critical with excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to think critically and make decisions to follow issues through to resolution. Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment with minimal direct supervision.
