Product Research Internship (Machine Learning / NLP Engineer)

Description

  • Internship will take place early June – mid-August
  • Work side-by-side with Natural Language Processing (NLP), Machine Learning (ML) and Product Design experts who are dedicated to helping you learn and grow your analytical, technical and communication skill
  • Assist the UPMCE team with the following:
    • The product research Intern will play an important role in researching target markets and areas of opportunity.
    • Tracking, analyzing and assessing the health technology landscape, competitors, trends, opportunities, and risks.
    • Works through pre-established list of opportunities identified by senior Product Management team.
    • Executes industry research by analyzing data to assess strength and viability of opportunities.
    • Audience segmentation analysis to uncover insights about target market.
    • Conducts primary and secondary research to understand needs, validate assumptions, and test hypotheses.
    • Competitive landscape research to gather intelligence about market threats, strengths & weaknesses.
    • Designing, building and presenting primary research results to leadership team in various formats - written, visual etc
    • Assist Product Managers on day-to-day tasks as well as ad-hoc projects.

Qualifications

  • Current Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or Graduate MBA degree program
  • Majoring in Computer Science, Marketing, Data Analytics, Information Systems Management, Information Technology, or related field required
  • Able to interpret statistical results for non-technical audiences, verbally and in writing.

  • Proficient in quantitative & quantitative analysis.

  • Capable of researching new market sectors and trends.

  • Excellent self-organization skills, adaptability, and able to prioritize multiple projects.
