Director, CCM Partner Relations

The Director of Partner Relationships will lead and direct the CCM, in accordance with the strategic goals of the Center's partners. The Director will be responsible for overseeing the CCM's business operations, and activating thought leadership activities, and will represent the CCM to internal audiences (i.e. within partner companies) and external audiences (i.e. industry bodies). He/she will also help the partners of the Center to directly achieve business goals, including potentially revenue generation, by sharing and creating thought leadership material which grows and engages the CCM’s core audiences. The Director of Partner Relationships is also responsible for managerial and financial oversight of the CCM's activities, as well as attracting and engaging with potential future partners as needed and appropriate.


  • Owning the relationships with all partners, managing the relationships to achieve agreement on CCM direction on an on-going basis, as well as providing guidance to the partner executives on the various ways they can maximize their investment in the CCM.
  • Performing presentations to stakeholders and C-level executives of the CCM.
  • Building relationships with technologists, clinicians and other subject matter experts, especially within UPMC, that will provide thought leadership and expert opinion for partners to utilize during the customer lifecycle.
  • Demonstrating thorough knowledge of the CCM’s offerings and capabilities, and how these link to best practices in the health care industry, working closely with the Research Analyst and Content/Audience Development Manager for current trends.
  • Keeping the CCM's product offering and capabilities in line with current trends, partnering with the partners to ensure the CCM's activities continue to meet their needs.
  • Maintaining operational oversight of the CCM, managing staff, and overseeing day to day operations and working to an agreed budget, including making recommendations on capital expenditure. Also leading the governance of the CCM as per the Operating Agreement with the founding partners (e.g. regular meetings and reporting).


Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or related field required Minimum 10 years work experience with an emphasis on HIT experience in a health care organization, health care products/solutions provider, or similar business to business consulting environment; 15 years of experience strongly preferred Previous accountability for a P&L preferred Prior staff management experience required Previous experience in business development, coordination and relationship management in a systems integration and/or consulting organization, or similar. Strong written and verbal communication skills Broad HIT knowledge with past experience with complex network and client/server environments preferred Customer service, problem solving and analytical skills required Ability to work as part of a team to solve technical problems in varied political environments Ability to travel domestically and internationally
