The EDI Program Manager ensures the accurate and timely implementation of Prodigo Solution's EDI software solution, Prodigo Xchange, from the initial service agreement through launching vendor EDI integrations into production. The primary role of this position is to work with the management team, EDI support analysts, software developers, account managers, business analysts, quality assurance personnel, and third-party partners to define and deliver the Prodigo Xchange into the Healthcare IT space. The usual activities of the position will include collaborating and coordinating the efforts of software development and delivery, onboarding suppliers to the Prodigo Xchange solution, collecting connectivity requirements, creating documentation, EDI testing, integration testing, and go-live support.
Under the general direction of the Client B2B Integration Manager, this position requires excellent Program Management and communication skills along with effective planning and organizational skills. Experience with managing major commercial software projects in a complex, dynamic environment is required. This person must have the ability to perform planning for large enterprise initiatives/projects as well as manage all tasks required to meet stakeholder and business needs within budget and targeted deadlines. Knowledge of Healthcare IT is expected, with EDI fundamentals and significant, practiced experience of project/program management is required.

  • Manage cross-functional teams that will consist of EDI analysts, engineers, developers, business analysts, quality analysts and others, as needed.
  • Work with management and senior staff members to help identify, develop, and manage a strategic plan for project(s) within Prodigo Xchange. Candidate will be expected to create deliverables to support the project progress and roadmap process.
  • Work with EDI Support and the EDI Product Management teams on a daily basis providing status updates, recommendations for improvements, and other input to provide a world class support organization.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to management, Prodigo Solutions clients, and third-party partners.
  • Communicate activities, statuses, and accomplishments with Prodigo Solutions leadership, as needed.
  • Interface with peers throughout Prodigo Solutions to develop a strong working relationship between all groups within the company. Seek opportunity to aid wherever possible, thereby increasing overall service and reducing cost through elimination of redundant efforts.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans for Prodigo Xchange initiatives. Included in the plan is the management of all related EDI activities as well as, the potential use of consultants and internal staff.
  • Schedule and lead project status meetings with team members and clients to assess EDI implementation progress and plan activities aimed at keeping the project on-schedule.
  • Manage the design and documentation of system level, IS operations level, and end user level procedures to support business applications.
  • Manage the onboarding efforts of suppliers onto the Prodigo Xchange, including procurement of resources outside of Prodigo Solutions to participate in testing, engaging end users, and defining issue resolution processes.
  • Manage and mitigate risks by establishing escalation processes and ensuring timely reporting and resolution of issues. Inform core team, stakeholders, and senior management of major issues that will impact project success. Work with senior management to resolve major issues that cannot be solved by the EDI Team alone.
  • Provide input for staff evaluation and assist management with staff development, including training in team processes.
  • Create and develop a team environment, including building collaborative relationships, training peers to perform at maximum efficiency, and to ensure knowledge is shared across teams.
  • Participate in defining and implementing the Prodigo Solutions process roadmap and project management best practices to boost productivity, quality, and efficiency.
  • Maintain current industry knowledge and trends, attend relative educational events, and participate in committee work as appropriate.


  • Bachelor's degree is required. Master's degree or PMP certification preferred.
  • Degrees related to Healthcare Management, IT Management, Systems & Network Administration, or Supply Chain Logistics preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing multiple concurrent software development projects, projects of a large scale, and a high level of complexity.
  • Commercial software experience preferred.
  • 3+ years of Healthcare Industry Supply Chain Experience.
  • Successful experience in management, problem solving, organizational, negotiation and communication skills (oral and written) are required.
  • Proficient knowledge of EDI documents (850, 855, 856, 810, 997, etc.) and EDI transmission methods (AS2, VAN, FTP).
  • Strong ability to motivate and manage teams to meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Project and Program Management, including project planning.
  • High level of comfort presenting information to executive management teams.
  • Applied experience with Project Portfolio Management in coordinating and delivering cross-functional projects to support complex, internal processes.
  • Established experience in managing matrix reports and cross-functional teams including team members from different operational departments.
  • Proven ability to make and meet commitments under pressure.
