Senior Product Analyst

Purpose:
The Senior Product Analyst at UPMC Enterprises leverages their business and IT expertise to describe functional requirements based on market research, write technical implementation requirements, and create business analytics to measure product success. Analysts use their keen, pragmatic skills to assess industries, businesses, and products. They are responsible for highlighting gaps and opportunities that support company-building and product roadmap activities from early-stage discovery through entry to market.

Responsibilities:

  • Applies market analysis knowledge to better understand user requirements
  • Conducts in-depth market research and analysis
  • Coordinates with design, product management, and engineering teams to capture requirements
  • Coordinates with teams during testing to resolve issues
  • Describes functional requirements based on market research
  • Develops KPIs to quantify the ROI, success, and impact of products
  • Facilitates requirement gathering including user stories for designers and technical requirements for engineers
  • Interfaces with stakeholders to ensure product is working as designed
  • Participates in planning and review meetings
  • Supports testing of products Participates in all phases of the product roadmap including early stage discovery through completion focusing specifically on development
  • Tracks metrics and progress related to product adoption and performance
  • Translates requirements into specifications
  • Works on large-sized and complex projects with complete autonomy
  • Works with users to refine requirements and validate product vision
  • Writes technical implementation requirements, and create business analytics to measure product success

Qualifications

BA/BS in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience preferred MS or PhD 5+ years professional experience Familiarity with business issues, or the ability to quickly learn Understanding of health care IT Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong technical abilities Product management/design experience Strong verbal and written communication skills, and familiarity with PowerPoint Project management skills � ability to own and drive own work stream Ability to build and maintain relationships with and manage internal and external stakeholders, including business operations and executives as needed Analytical and financial modeling experience, including use of Excel Proactive in setting milestones, work planning, and delivering on commitments Positive can-do attitude
